I’ve never used Carbonite. It always seemed so loaded with stuff that you need a manual to get everything you want out of it. I also for some reason have always preferred stand alone mods over mods that have multiple functions. It just seems like there is less to go wrong. With that said, I’ve used Jame’s Wow-Pro leveling guides to get me through the zones, then go back to Everyquest to see what remains for me to do. It is a sort of “on rails” approach to leveling in a zone, but if you do something out of order it still records it, and you can open up the guide to skip things or see what’s coming if you like. I also like Faction Grinder 2 if you are looking to rep up anywhere while in a zone.
Thanks for those suggestions, Grimm. I’ve used guides in the past as well, but they seem to be pretty strict. I like the freedom that Carbonite and EveryQuest allows you to create. I’ll have to check out the Faction Grinder 2 mod… sounds pretty useful.
